Scary Movies

The past year the horror genre seems to have let down its beloved fans. Big Hollywood films getting by using simple story-lines, less appealing characters & going no where near above or beyond expectations. Still, as a fan-base we continue to watch these movies just hoping that it will gain some spark, interest or breath new life for future films or projects. Hoping to go home entertained & feel their hard earned money is well spent. Rather we are let down by most of the films that are talked up so much when the majority rarely ever live up to the hype. This past October was pretty crappy for horror fans. I remember some of the best times seeing a good horror flick was of course a given during October. Fans honestly got nothing new except for one of the worst films I’ve seen in a while Annabelle. I feel the film could have been so much better than it was in all honesty. I didn’t expect much truth be told, but I still thought it would bring some good edges. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Annabelle the doll itself is just plain boring, she doesn’t have a personality, nor any character, she’s visually just scary you could say. The whole film felt very rushed & forced. I hope 2015 has a lot more in store for horror fans, it seems like indie-horror is really taking over which is awesome.

Storms erupted with crackles of thunder throughout the mist of the night. The night was breathing heavy with a windy bliss. The house was silent as could be, after all it’s been abandoned for 11 years. Still rotting & sitting , left untouched since it was closed down. The crimes committed were never talked about again, the local town people knew to never go near that house. People have said the house looks like it’s always watching as people walk near. Never look in the top windows during the day they say. To Be Continued……

What is life to you? Do we actually have an understanding of our kind? Think as the puzzle was never put together, but pieces are here for you to connect. Not a day is the same as I envision this dark cold world through my window that hides a beautiful mirage of beauty. All I see is a world completely disconnected by separation & jealousy over things that don’t matter. Friends have come & gone for the better, seems now days it’s all for show. People’s true emotions are stuck & frozen dead in the ground shut. The saying goes “Product Of Their Own Environment”

October 31st , the night of ghouls & ghosts. Dressed as creatures unknown, the fog & mist seams above. Laughter with sacks of candy run down house by house. He watches from a distance, his birthday is every Hallows’ Eve. The town never found his body but he’s here. Maybe not alive & well but he’s always watching from a far. Snatching kids one by one each year without a trace. The mans face was filled with the lost souls of the Trick ‘R Treater’s as they gave him the name Natas.

The night was dark & sought with fear, leafs we’re falling from the strong wind in the early stages of fall. The depressed son was at his verge in life, everyone disappointed him, he was too misunderstood. Darkness is all he saw, pitch black, evil took over every inch of his soul. A smirk came upon him as he laid in the graveyard, the possession was “real”

Your mind was racing, everything settled with pure darkness, silence is very key at these type of moments in life. You were nervous and anxiety had settled in. The cold wind was blowing upon everyone’s faces. The blank stares of the friends and foes glaring each and every way. Darkness had taken over and you knew it had won. The control you contributed was none on your part as you let it ease you over. The guilt filed with emotion and pain will suffer for eternity. This world makes you a bad person, and honestly it wasn’t your fault. Everyone’s to blame here, darkness has been here and wont ever be going away…..

It’s the big day of the 6th grade field trip at Cambridge Way Middle School. Everyone was enjoying the most beautiful weather filled full of joy as the students got seated on the bus. You knew in your heart that your life would change forever after today. As you sat in your seat by yourself closely analyzing all the faces that put you to shame. Constantly being picked on by everyone, followed by being called the nastiest names for no apparent reason made you despise your entire class. Today was different though, no one seemed to put much focus on you for once as all the kids were interested in the field trip. Headphones blaring and not giving a fuck on what will end up happening today. Prepared and focused as the lyrics imprinted your mind, this was destined to happen leaving no regrets behind. As you slowly unzipped your book bag, drawing much attention to the students you simply nod to them. Without hesitation you scramble out your fathers .40 S&W, full magazines locked and loaded as you start dismembering your fellow class with 40 rounds of lead. Gun powder filled the air, as 15 bodies lay flattened on bus #165. You could see movement as some students were still some what breathing, putting a stop of that by slicing each and everyone of their throats one by one. The music was louder and you couldn’t stop, hatred filled your veins as you left every spec of anger on that bus. Taking the life’s of every student or teacher that ever talked down upon you, making you feel weak and hopeless at ever being excepted. Windows were drenched with large amounts of blood, 15 life’s were taken. Sitting in everyone’s blood with a smirk, sirens neared but you didn’t care.

A typical Saturday night right? relaxing watching your favorite show. Everything sure is perfect as you’re having the time of your life. Sadly today was your special day. The day you’re killed with no remorse or motive. Everyone always remembers their very special day. (blackness) (regaining conscious) Your body is stiff as your mind awakens on your bed realizing this is no regular wake up call. Making an effort to nudge you realize your body can’t move, completely paralyzed from the neck down. As you glance down next to you and notice the love of your life is gagged, with her infamous mascara running down her sweet face in agony screaming. Both of you’re tied down in your own home and there is nothing you can do. This was the special night or so he thought to pop the question. This is the country life you dreamed of as you both asked to be far away from civilization. The man begs and moans for help in agony, but the “devil” was already present, they knew it was their time. Inches slowly carving the woman’s throat out with a dark lush grin, the darkest eyes. Eyes within hells gates. The man has a heart attack as his wife is butchered as they die with no soul. Both bodies were dismembered, the victims were found reported hanging from light poles at the North Market 20 miles away, 3:33 AM. Officers Found A mask at the scene but had no other leads.

I always ask myself what my job will be when it’s all said and done, and think how successful I’d be at something if I gave it my heart and soul. This thought gazes throughout my mind constantly as the days go by. It took me 22 years to realize what I’d finally love to do. I believe you have to love your job with a passion if you want to make it in today’s name and age. I always had an enormous amount of passion towards movies. No not the “regular” movies, I’m talking about the “horror” genre. All movies in general I do admire as well, I feel like cinema was the only thing that actually kept my mind focused as I analyzed my favorite characters, plots, and scenes. The “horror” genre intrigued my younger mind with all types of emotions at a younger age dealing with friendship, violence, grieve, hardships, and death. As I’ve stated before in my previous posts “Childs Play” was the first horror film I’ve ever saw and I’ve been hooked since. Within the year I plan to finally take a leap of faith and head out to California to hopefully become a writer, director, or make up FX personal. I have a love for horror movies and think the movie monsters are possibly the most iconic things to ever be on the big screen. The thrill of being scared and in fear has always excited me as this genre will bring the best movies to test your fears. I feel enduring in your deepest and darkest fears is very iconic and brave. If you have a passion go for it. Never let anyone tell you different👌al>

Scream(1996) Director:Wes Craven/ Writer:Kevin Williamson

Scream(1996)

One of the first real “slasher” movies I ever saw Scream(1996) as a kid and boy did it ever terrify my little mind. The famous first “15” min of the film has more than enough to draw you in. Everyone needs to understand that this film was set on its own and really started the whole caller ID/slasher age. I’ve read plenty of articles stating that after “Scream” was released everyone was getting Caller ID. The first glance we get of “Ghostface” is him stalking a poor high school girl Casey(Drew Barrymore)that turns out quite tragic. That first scene will forever stick in your mind, and really sets the tone for this classic Wes Craven flick. The cast brings so much to the table as we get to understand there is a killer with a motive stalking the small town of Woodsboro. Everything about this movie is really fun and the mystery aspect starts to kick in immediately. Since there are 4 installments in the series everyone knows by now that “There are rules to survive” and “Everybody is a suspect” Spoken by the fan favorite Randy(Jamie Kennedy) as he tends to always be right. This movie will take you on a ride of cold blooded murder, revenge, thrown in with a mix of comedy. I really admire the story work and the effort by everyone that was involved in this film as why this it’s one of my favorite slasher/horror movies of all time and honestly re-amped the whole horror genre by itself. One thing that really intrigued me about this film is the voice of “Ghostface” was actually a real voice done by Roger Jackson and not a voice box that many so thought existed. Wes Craven stated that “The Voice” was never seen by anyone on set. His lines were played out loud as he was not present but still talked on the phone to the actors, which I thought was pretty creepy and clever at the same time. I honestly could go on forever talking about how much I love the Scream Franchise as it still sits high today with 4 installments and the only horror film of its kind to keep the same cast mates so far in the series! If you love horror movies in general then you cannot miss “Scream” as it’s one of the best films of its time. “What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie?”.
